Category partner in  Educating for our Future

The Future Food Institute is an international nonprofit organisation dedicated to accelerating the transition towards sustainable food systems through education, research and innovation. Founded in Italy, the institute works globally with universities, policymakers, chefs, entrepreneurs and communities to develop new approaches to food production, biodiversity protection and climate resilience.

As a Category Partner of the Food Film Menu, the Future Food Institute supports the category Educating for our Future, encouraging short films that highlight culinary and cultural education and promote responsible production and consumption. By raising awareness of local and healthy food traditions, the category emphasises the role of knowledge and community pride in building more sustainable food systems worldwide.

Category partner in  Regenerative Pathways

Regenerative Vanua is a not-for-profit organisation working with rural island communities across the Pacific to strengthen resilience through regenerative practices grounded in land stewardship, food sovereignty and Indigenous knowledge systems. Through initiatives such as the Regenerative Verification Program and intercultural learning exchanges, the organisation supports communities in developing regenerative agritourism, gastronomy and value chains rooted in local culture and deep connections to land and sea.

As a Category Partner of the Food Film Menu, Regenerative Vanua supports the category Regenerative Pathways, encouraging short films that raise awareness of the advantages of integrating local food, recipes and traditions into tourism offerings. The category highlights how gastronomy-based tourism can contribute to greater environmental, economic and cultural sustainability, particularly in rural areas.

Category partner in  Feeding the Planet

Slow Food is a global grassroots movement founded in Italy in 1986 that brings together local communities and activists working to ensure access to food that is good, clean and fair for all. Active in more than 160 countries, the movement promotes food education, protects cultural and biological diversity, and advocates for sustainable and resilient food systems that benefit both people and the planet.

As a Category Partner of the Food Film Menu, Slow Food supports the category Feeding the Planet, encouraging short films that explore the origins of our food and the global challenge of ensuring healthy food for all. The category invites stories addressing issues such as biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, local food systems, pollinators and food waste, highlighting their importance for a more resilient and secure global food future.
